What sitcoms had the most episodes?

Is there a list of the top 20?

I was surprised to see that there are as many as 71 for Desmond's.

British? I'm guessing Last of the Summer Wine as it's the longest running one.

American? More difficult, maybe Frasier as it ran for 11 years (I think). I think its probably a show that was popular in the States but not so much over here.

The Simpsons stand at 586 and counting. The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet did 425. My Three Sons did 378.
Other modern era shows:

Cheers: 275
Frasier: 264
Married with Children: 263
Two and a Half Men: 262

After The Simpsons, South Park is next among shows currently in production at 247.

This has been covered in a couple of threads in the past.

If you're talking just TV, the top 10 is as follows:

Last Of The Summer Wine - 295
ChuckleVision
The Army Game
Shaun The Sheep
Bodger & Badger
Birds Of A Feather
Mike & Angelo
My Family
The Dickie Henderson Show
My Parents Are Aliens - 106

Thanks for the contributions - but what weird lists.

Aaron:

Yours includes ones I've never heard of, kids' programmes, cartoons and series made before the war.

Is there a proper list at all? :)

That is a proper list, whether you know them or not. :P

The Wikipedia list to which I linked is fairly comprehensive and lists shows from many countries.

Yes - very comprehensive - but I am not sure that it is clear to me.

What about On The Buses? :)

74 episodes. Quite a way down the list.

Thanks.

It should have continued like Coronation Street has continued. Geek

Wouldn't be much of a show. They're (nearly) all dead.
