Bloody pathetic amount compared to that though.
The drawings are held twice per week and the minimum jackpot is $40 million. They added more numbers recently and said that we'd occasionally see billion-dollar jackpots. That would mean about $400 million in taxes, so if I won it I'd demand that they name a Navy ship after me. A statue at the very least...

This doesn't prove a causal link.
It certainly doesn't. How strange to investigate shootings that had already taken place, instead of the overall armed/unarmed population as a whole. As it stands, if you're involved in a shooting, there's a very good chance that you're involved in a gang, the drug trade and/or street crime. That's a very small segment of society.
