I can't comment of the alleged comedy element, but from observation of the way you depicted the plates, I would suggest you study drawing ellipses.

They've used this stereotype in OFAH twice, in The Yellow Peril and A Touch Of Glass...but that was in 1982! It's probably a "retro manga".

Eating the cat isn't really the stereotype, it's serving the cat to others, so far as I've heard. Apart from the fact that the joke was a bit convoluted, I think it's the "my cat" bit that doesn't work, because the old line is that fast food proprietors cook stray/neighbournhood cats, not their own pets.
