It's a no from me!
Who would win a BCG fist fight? Page 13
I think sooty is a bit merry? And possibly zooo too as I expected her to answer yes!
Quote: sootyj @ 26th December 2015, 10:38 PM GMTDoes anyone else see photos of their friends sisters on Facebook at Christmas, that they've never seen before.
And think "hmmm that's like my friend but female and sexy..I wonder what it would be like to f**k them?"
My minds eye saw Hannibal Lecter standing in his boilersuit saying that.
I wrote all his best material and sober thank you very much.
Quote: Nick Nockerty @ 24th December 2015, 9:13 AM GMTSootjy you make a valid point, in that you and many others such as Gappy, Mr Sunshine and Herc are very inviting . But not everyone is, and after so long you probably edit out the comments the Bluenun refers to. The Bluenun does makes a valid point. All this talk about Dave Smith, and things not being as funny as they were in the old days, is not what a Newbie coming into a room full of strangers (and Bards at that) wants to hear. The evidence of this is the number of people that leave before 10 posts (i.e. most people). This is not criticism, but just a statement of facts as I see them and this is the fighting thread.
I was a member before 'the clique' and have never been a member of it or any of the cliques that exist between groups of posters.
The problem is not these groups of friends but the input/intelligence of the posters. My comment that it was funnier in the old days was not meant to be understood literally, but was a 'satire' on what people often say. That's why I added 'like mock the week'.
Bluenun didn't understand this and jumped down my throat. She was also miserably unfunny about it and peddled some lame feminist cliché on another thread because I said something was a 'penetrating as a vagina' which if you actually read it is not sexist in any way.

Fair point. So in other words God.ot, you could have a Nun in a fist fight ? Throw in some mud and we may have a YouTube hit.

That's a great idea; now where's my camcorder?

Hmm, not sure I'd agree. I *do* have a very developed sense of humour and grew up sandwiched (not literally) between two brothers, so I do get the banter thing. I have also tend to relate to men much more than I do women, but I have Asperger's which explains a great deal of why I often 'go off on one'.
What I object to is the tendency for a few of the threads to descend into name calling and sexual insults directly aimed at women. Godot - you're certainly not the only one who has done this as the 'Carly Smallman' correspondence proves. That particular thread turned really offensive IMHO and the fact that the BCG's creator, Mark, became personally involved says a great deal. I actually met the poster in person at a BCG drink a year ago and he was very charming in real life. Who knew?

Yay! Was that clip taken from 'Time Trumpet?'

You're right, I'm not the only one because in fact I've never 'descended into name calling and sexual insults directly aimed at women'.
My comments to you made no mention of your gender which I didn't know anyway. I try to challenge people with their own words and attitudes. I can't think of anything more democratic.
Incidentally I am actually the most insulted person on the site. I've had all sorts of no-marks trying to swell their bug nuts by wading into me - always unprovoked. I usually give people one free punch and then retort.
If posters read what I wrote more closely they probably wouldn't make their comments. They assume I am taking a position when it's usually more nuanced than that. Also this is a comedy forum so above all I try to entertain people.
