Damn the Torpedoes! Page 5

Awesome.

Hmm, 430pm on Christmas Day looks a dead zone for TV. Luckily, you can listen to a new episode of Damn The Torpedoes on BFBS radio - DAB, online (www.bfbs.com/radio), Sky Channel 0211 and Freesat Channel 786.

But if you were desperate to listen to the 430pm BBC News bulletin, its also on repeated on Boxing Day at 130pm

We recorded this on Monday night and all went well in front of a fantastic full house at RADA Studios (the old Drill Hall). Thanks to everyone who came.

Provisionally broadcast dates are Christmas Day and New Year's Day on BFBS radio, with it available online soon afterwards.

Dan

Any idea when these two episodes will be available online?

Thanks.

Hi Charlieboy

I think this is the link
Although the New Year show may not be working at present

Quick nudge for Damn The Torpedoes!, especially as I reckon it's 'Best Radio Sketch Comedy Show' if you were to wish to vote for it in any sort of Comedy Guide Awards 2015, should it come up at all any time soon.

Christmas and New Year shows here

EDIT: In fact, the whole Damn! kaboodle is available here

2016 surely?

No, the BCG have always done the Awards for the previous year, so it's the 'awards for 2015' rather than the 'awards given in 2016'.

Dan

Very good stuff.
Awards procedure:
1. Audience listens to show.
2. Audience discusses each show's laughter count, critical and commercial potential and quality and quantity of the searing satire, wordsmith wit and ingenious irony.
3. Everyone just votes for their best f**king friend anyway.

Correct! And have I mentioned how I love you all dearly?

Dan

Anyone know whether the 2017 Christmas Special (broadcast 23rd December) is (or will be) available for download? If it is, a link would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Eventually found it.

Glad you found the link @Charlieboy and thanks for posting up - you beat me to it :) Hope you enjoyed the show? Were you able to come to the recording? You'd be very welcome.

Oh and I should add if you're ever looking for an episode of the show Dan Sweryt has them all linked on www.dansweryt.com

Regards
Alison

Hi Alison.

Enjoy the show but I wasn't at the recording I'm afraid - maybe another time. I did check out Dan's link before asking. The Xmas show wasn't there then but I see that it is now. Guess he's added it in the last couple of days.

Do you know when the new Series 3 is to be broadcast?

The 2017 Xmas special is the only full episode of this third series but we have plenty of recorded material that can be fed into the BFBS Facebook page over the year ahead - especially as the recording was filmed.

I would hope we'd be aiming for a further full episode towards the end of the year.

Alison.
