I just watched The Mask for the first time in ages. I still adore that film. I saw it 3 times when it came out. I don't scream and cry with laughter at it as I did aged 11, but it's still great.
I love it's playful and breezy nature. With the freedom they had making it, there was always a chance of it going too OTT, but I think they kept the right side.
I have never seen 'Son of The Mask' and never shall!
Jim Carrey is legend, although I prefer Ace Ventura.
I never liked Ace Ventura. That was a bit OTT for me.
Dumb and Dumber though! That probably makes me laugh more than The Mask, but I like The Mask more because Carrey gets Diaz in that one.
Is this the thing with Cher in it and that kid who looked like the Elephant Man?

I liked Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, not a comedy, but I really fancied Kate Winslet in that, I like freaky girls.
Wasn't too keen on The Truman Show at the time but looking back it's quite a good film.
Hated Number 23 though!

Ace Ventura was brilliant. Particularly the first, but the second good too. The Mask I've not seen in ages, but also very very good. The Truman Show wasn't really funny (was it supposed to be?), but was extremely clever.
First thing I saw Carrey in was Batman Forever, which I don't think is thought much of, but again I enjoyed. And I think I'm right in saying that The Mask was Diaz's first film.
