Aaron it saddens me that in this particular thread I find real offence. I suppose in all the others, it felt like there was always at least a sheen of humour. But not hear, this feels, real and in that way quite disturbing.
PC is a myth, a bugbear invented by those many who dislike the idea of not feeling powerful in groups, or who wander why the working class should goto uni, or the accused have fair trials.
Nazism was one of many truly vile ideologies to appear in the 20th century, which put twisted ethnic pride, and whole sale slaughter side by side. From Stalinism to Year Zero, they were all horrible and terrible.
You compare them to free healthcare, and the right not to be insulted, and demeaned in your place of work. If you're not joking about that, then that's a really scary view point.
If PC as perecieved is the right not to be insulted. Then I hope you don't mind me asking, but who are you so desperate to insult? Who makes you feel so angry or belittled that you compare your right not to insult them, with whole sale murder?
Seriously I would like to know.
I have to say the remarks on Nazism, as some one who still feels its fingers on his family tree, are actually more than slightly offensive.

I may be cynical, misguided & wrong, however I am a believer of this. If you have something against a person of ethnic origin, ie you dislike them, for their colour, religion etc, then you are a racist.
If you do not, then you are not a racist.
I just looked up what a racist actually means.
1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
