TFI

Difficult one to categorise, but anyway new series starts tonight - I like it.

Yes, it's a big part of my childhood so I'll be tuning in for sure.

What is it?

I tried watching the re-boot which was broadcast a few months back. Considering that I didn't really watch it back in the 90s it didn't seem a great deal different. I don't mind CE on Radio 2, but TFI, nah.

One of my favourite TV moments ever when John Cusack told CE on TFI Friday what he and I suspect about half of the nation thought of him...

That prog. wasn't meant to be. They never actually had a last programme and so that was it - a very belated Goodbye. It was meant to be a one-off, but as it had such good viewing figures Channel 4 asked him if he would make a new series.

He was saying on BBC Breakfast this morning that they were putting together a completely different show for this new series. Even the old studio had been demolished.

To be quite honest, I don't think he gives a toss what people say about him. I am reminded of Peter Sellers when he finally made it big, he said his income was his "F**k You Money".

I now have a mental image of Chris Evans recreating Miley Cyrus' video for 'Wrecking Ball' in my head and believe me, it's not a pretty one.

I'll tune in if it's different as I admire irreverent humour.

He's got some great line-ups coming up, I think you will enjoy it. :)

Will Bez feature?

I doubt it 8 o'clock live - the had trouble with him last time!

Hmmm, bit tame compared to the original series, let's hope it picks up, having said that I think it is the wrong time slot, which doesn't help - needs to be on late after the kiddiwinks have gone to bed.

Switched off as soon as take that came on

You mean you willingly watched U2? :O

For me, I had set it to record, so as soon as U2 came on I watched a different recording and then watched TFI with a half hour delay and fast forward through all the music, and the effin' adverts of course - life's too short. Cool
