Only Connect Page 12

I once wrote on the 'only connect' blog that if you didn't know your 7 X tables from your periodic tables - then no need to apply.

Okay, here's one for you.

What connects:

Elizabeth Taylor

Bob Hope

Jerry Springer

Kiefer Sutherland.

OK, as this is dragging on and the main requester (a certain Mr. S Sunshine) has posted nowt, :( I will give you the 4 groups, but you don't get so many points.

Only Fools & Horses Characters

Parts of a Bolt Action Rifle

Actors who have played Dr Watson on TV or in films

BBC Radio DJs

Ah, damnit. Good one.

Ah, damnit. Good one.

Thank you zooo, and the 4 x 4 groups are? ;)

It would be more than a little tenuous to include 'Dave' as an OFAH character but it's the only category into which it fits.

Surely, a bolt-action rifle doesn't have a dave?

I can't find a Mr Dave who's portrayed Watson in films or on TV

And I can't find a Mr Dave who's presented a BBC radio music programme.

On that basis, I have to go:

Only Fools & Horses Characters: Denzil, Dave, Jevon, Arnie

Parts of a Bolt Action Rifle: Barrel, Trigger, Butt, Bolt

Actors who have played Dr Watson on TV or in films: Bruce, Mills, Young, Stock

BBC Radio DJs: Harris, Freeman, Pearce, Dell

Correct! :) And on reflection I tend to agree with you regarding the "character" of Dave, so probably that is why they did not use it. :(

Oh, and by the way............. :D

Yes, they were indeed.

Bob Hope is quite widely known as birth-Brit but Liz Taylor's birthplace comes as a shock to many.

Umm, no surprise to me as always looked on her as an English Rose - I think the "odd one out" would be Kiefer Sutherland, but that's the sort of trivia you amass by watching chat shows. ;)

Find the four connected groups (and for those not familiar with only connect rules - groups will overlap but there is only one definitive answer)
