I live in America and our t.v. is pretty bad here. I am fortunate to be able to watch some British shows on YouTube. The ones I like are: Gavin and Stacey, Vicious, Stella, Doc Martin, Downton Abbey and a couple more I can't remember. Can anyone think of any other shows like these that I could watch? I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks!
Need recommendations
Sure is swell to meet y'all
Shouldn't you be loving your flag or something? Bloody americans, coming over here, stealing our TV - Sheesh!
You might like Birds Of A Feather or maybe The Delivery Man.
Dinnerladies or anything Victoria Wood, maybe.
Hollyoaks.
If you like Downtown Abbey, maybe give Julian Fellowes' original film 'Gosford Park' a go. Ditto Upstairs, Downstairs, but the 1970s version, not the ropey 2010ish BBC sequel.
Comedy wise, you clearly like the gentler side of things, so maybe try 'Keeping Up Appearances', 'Hi-De-Hi!' or 'Father Ted'.

And the sitcom version You Rang, M'Lord.

Good one Gordon! Also, 'Oh Doctor Beeching!' Plus 'Grace and Favour'.
Some of you are not being helpful at all!
Bed with no tea.
You might possibly like Getting On, or Pulling. Or maybe Fat Friends.
The shows listed here are a great place to start for sitcoms: https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/top/
If you like crime shows at all I highly recommend Jonathan Creek: https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/jonathan_creek/
There are some good British shows available to watch on the free Hulu here in the US as well. I know that Count Arthur Strong, Kingdom, Black Books, and Father Ted were all available on there for free recently.

It's funny though.
zooo's recommendations are great. I think the first two are both excellent, haven't seen the third, but it's where G&S writers Corden and Jones met, plus Alison Steadman's also in it.
It was a BBC's poll best 100 sitcoms. BBC page with this list was deleted, but you can see full list here

100 (not 50)
Only sitcoms as you are here.
US TV autopromotes itself, IMDB etc. lists are ridiculous, so TS has only random bits from rich spectrum of wonderful British TV and advice shouldn't be based on them.
