Yes.
Just gave it another go and watched episode 2.
Agree. To be honest, I did giggle at one point though. But that's purely down to Jane Duvitski being able to make weak writing into something funny.
I don't understand why one family (Judy's) are able to give decent performances and the other family (Leo's) are all uniformly crap. The little brother might be the most punchable character I've ever seen in a British comedy.
It's a real shame as I really wanted to like this series.
Once again I'm in agreement with you Doug. I watched Ep3 yesterday whilst doing the ironing and Janine Duvitski is excellent. I did chuckle when Judy wore a size 11 bowling shoe to Leo's titchy size 8.
As for the genitally based discussion, well let's just say, it reminded me of the conversations which used to occur in the back of Bab's Cabs in TLOG. I doubt that the writer intended that to be the case though?

Yes it does seem to be a bit just explaining the ins and outs.
Plus the shake it all abouts.

I've just watched the latest episode and it seems the whole series is essentially just a public information broadcast intercut with comedy sketches to keep us awake and watching.
They got the idea from 'Children in Need', I'm sure.
Inclined to agree, it's a shame. I still rate Rebecca Root though and would like to see her in a different role.
