The book is funnier.
I find that the big American comedy films that come out around the summer really suck, things like We're the Millers, Horrible Bosses, Hot Tub Time Machine, Get Hard. Good comedy films are hard to come by, I really liked the first Hangover but they ruined it with the two sequels, Kevin Smith's movies are ok but have gone down hill of late. I laughed a lot during the Inbetweeners sequel, I was really surprised because I hated the first. The Alan Partridge movie was good too.
The Sunshine Boys (1975 version)
Airplane!
Annie Hall
Manhatten
This is Spinal Tap
The Odd Couple
The Blues Brothers
Have you seen Top Secret?
I am huge Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy fan
Also - Superbad (2007)

That's a shame. But don't worry about it. It doesn't make you a bad person.

Pulp Fiction.
I was just about to say this! Totally agree(Wow! you saw it for the first time the other DAY! I feel so old now...I saw it in the cinema). Alot of people wouldn't consider it a bonafide comedy movie, but then what qualifies as "comedy"? It's definitely one of the funniest films I've ever seen. Reservoir dogs also has some great comic moments in it. Tarantino seemed to lose that comic touch as his career went on (maybe he wanted to make more "serious" films?).
The Ladykilers - original one of course.

I love Ladykillers - it never dates, it's still fantastic.
I'm a bit of a tourist in internetland so for all I know this could be the equivalent of saying - Hey, has anyone ever eaten a thing called a "potato"? -, but anyway:
Is everyone aware of the existence of the film "The Room" by Tommy Wiseau?
It's bit of a tenuous offering for this thread, because it's meant to be a deadly serious film, but it's one of those "so bad it's good" inadvertently funny films. I only heard about it because of an article on Cracked, but it's one of the most (unintentionally) hilarious films I've ever seen.
Here's a scene from it (The black haired freak show is the writer/directer/actor/producer/auteur of this masterpiece): https://youtu.be/mQ4KzClb1C4
If that clip made you laugh, try to track it down online somewhere, you'll love it.
Oh P.S. speaking of "Yule love it" - "Scrooged" is another great comedy movie.
