Fear The Walking Dead

Silly title, I think, but looking forward to this.

First 3 minutes. I think this starts tonight, in the US.

Yikes. Kill Gloria!

Ha, that sand pic is brilliant.

I really don't mind the title! I think I'm the only one.

I understand that they wanted everyone to know "this is part of The Walking Dead" but I think it's a bit too similar.

I guess it is a bit lame/unimaginative.
Apparently they won't be using the word walker at all in the show. But I doubt they'll call them the walking dead. Bit of a mouthful.
I wonder if they'll use the word zombie?

They should, who wouldn't in that situation!?

I guess we're not gonna see patient zero, judging from that first scene, which is a shame. I'd like to see how it started.

Maybe they'll let us know in the next spin off series they come up with.

After they make a Daryl and Merle trailerpark pre-apocalypse prequel series, obviously. Set in the same town where Rick and Shane are cops.

Yes, I have thought about this too much.

Just starting it now. :D

For the first time in almost a decade I know the person in Zoo's avatar. Either I've got cooler or she's become more mumsy.

I have two questions about the Walking Dead:

1. Why does no-one ever use the word zombie to describe the walkers/biters/roamers/shoegazers etc.

2. Who does Daryl's hair?

Both!

1. I don't know.

2. A very lucky man. He also dyes it dark brown for some reason. Daryl started almost blonde.

1. Dunno, I think it's weird too.

2. Nicky Decay Clarke?

:)

Sorry Zoo, but it's obviously a woman wielding those solar powered straighteners.

You know he's a hillbilly, right?

That hairstyle is about as likely to be worn by a redneck as an afro.

I didn't care much for the new show. It has plenty of room for improvement, so I hope it does so.

You're probably bald, but there aren't many people in the wild with hair like Daryl's, it's true.

What's the etymology of 'redneck'? Is it a reference to sunburn for being a farmer or out in the fields as opposed to working in an office?

Yeah, I think it came from poor farmers laboring in the blazing sun in the south. Northerners use it as a term of derision for southerners, but people in the south have reclaimed it as their own -- sort of like the n-word.
