Re-watched the pilot last night, Rick looks so young and fresh faced!
I thought it was strange though that he had been in a coma or asleep for so long without the need to drink! I could see he was on a drip but would that be substantial? Made me wonder if he's dead but immune to the "rage" part of the zombie virus? But nothing else suggested that, plus I bet they never revisit that scene again, as it was just ripped from 28 Days Later anyway.
