Had lunch in the Houses of Parliament with Llew Smith [backbench mp] and spent a whole evening with Evelyn Glennie before she was famous so I'm not sure that counts. And I've driven passed SlaggA's house. Easily the most impressive claim here.

Living in northern Ontario most of my life I haven't met to many but I do have a pretty funny (and embarrassing) story of my first time meeting a celebrity:
Set up:
-Does anyone remember Degrassi Junior High? It was a Canadian drama in the 80's that was popular in North America. If you do remember this show, do you remember Lucy (Anais Granofsky)? That's who this is about.
-I was volunteer working at Cinefest (Northern Ontario's film festival) ripping tickets for a movie premiere when the actress walks into the theatre with her ticket.
- I get caught off guard, look up at her, give the double guns with my fingers and say very quickly "Degrassi Junior High"! Similar to how Steve Carell might blurt out a word quickly. I said nothing else to her but those words.
- She smiled and walked in but I was sooooo embarrassed. I couldn't believe I had done it. It just came out without even thinking!
- The movie premiere was for a movie she had written, directed and stared in and came out in the middle of the film to talk with me. She was super nice and we had a really nice conversation and then she walked back in for her applause before the movie ended.
Because I was able to talk to her I didn't have any other problems with the celebrity's I met later. They included...
=Paul Gross: The Mounty from "Due South", stared in "Slings and Arrows", Men With Brooms (which he also wrote and directed). He was really nice and seemed pleased to be at the Festival.
= Holly Hunter
=Bruce McDonald Director of the movie Hard Core Logo and a lot of tv. Looked pretty loaded, but nice guy anyways.
I've met a few Hockey and baseball stars but you guys wouldn't know them of course. I've also met a lot of Canadian and some American bands being someone who used to put on concerts and so on. Some you may have heard of are: ( the first group are punk bands, mostly American).
- Face to Face: There managers was as an asshole but they were nice.
- Mad Caddies: These guys loved to party.
- Propaghandi: I bought the lead singer a drink and chated him up before the show.
- Strung Out: awesome guys, but I did find I was being tested to see if I really was a fan or not. They'd be like "you know our second album"? and they would look at me to see if I knew it.
- Fat Mike from NOFX: Hmmmmm is there anything nice to say about him at all? Nope this guys an all around drunken asshole. I met him at Warped Tour when he almost stumbled into me. I said "oh sorry" and he just sneered. So yea I didn't actually really get to hang out with him like the others on this list...I just wanted to mention Fat Mike's a douche bag.
I've had a few bands sleep at my house before but I don't think you'd know any of them over there...not even sure if you guys even know any of them on the list I put above even.
