I very much enjoyed Schnorbitz co-presenting an episode of the third series of 'Harry Hill' back in 2000. I was therefore wondering whether the comedy canine sidekick's St Bernard descendants were still in showbusiness?
Schnorbitz
Sadly he disapeared into the world of light entertainment and heavy porn,
his last film being Schnorbitz likes more butts.
It was a very strange royal variety performance.
I had to Google him. I thought you meant this guy.
Last time I saw him he was advertising Sleeping Pills
Schnorbitz Snore Bits
The original.......
.........taken on after he split from his brother Mike.
Schnobitz had a brother called Mike?
Yes! An amazing coincidence when you consider that Bernie Winters also had a brother called Mike.
What are the chances of that happening?
amazing coincidence
Didn't Bernie create a Game of Thrones style marital aid with the tag line "Winters is coming"?
I am truly touched by all of the replies and glad that I'm not the only one to remember the true canine celebrity which was Schnorbitz. My FIL is buried in Golders Green, as is the younger of the Winters brothers, the legend that was Bernie. I particularly like this bit on Wikipedia:
"He later performed solo, often with the aid of his St. Bernard dog, Schnorbitz. Following his death, he bequeathed Schnorbitz to showman Richard De Vere."
However, De Vere died last year, but there's a lovely picture of him and Schnorbitz though: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/popular-star-mersey-pantos-richard-6798708
Although, saying that, he wasn't above 'cheating' on the bereaved St Bernard with a black cat: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-26526427

Bob Carolgees and Spit The Dog - both huge stars in their own right, despite their connection with Tiswas and OTT. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Carolgees At least a little of the Carolgees' magic lives on in the work of Sir Peter Kay.

Dirty nun! Was it by the hand of God?

No, quite the opposite - it was 'Old Nick'.*
"*You know, 'im, down the cafe? Dirty old dog he is too - my mate reckons that he stirs them beans with his John Thomas."
