That's why I've never heard of it.

Of course BBC Choice morphed into BBC 3, which is 'BBC Choice of Tits, Dicks or Fannies'.
Quote: Afinkawan @ July 14 2008, 1:22 PM BST'Funeral directors' is one of the things I've seen mentioned in several places as an example of overworked sitcom themes but I can't really think of any! I don't remember seeing In Loving Memory.
Are there others?
There was That's Your Funeral with Bill Fraser and David Battley, which bizzarely spawned a feature film, and of course Billy Liar worked in a funeral parlour (run by Colin Jeavons in the TV series).
Great works involving funeral homes. Read Evelyn Waugh's 'The Loved One', or watch the 1960's film version directed by Tony Richardson. A very darkly funny satire on the American way of death. Worth it just for Rod Steiger as 'Mr Joyboy'.
It's very good . If you want to see Christopher Ryan dressed as an Oompa loompa, and Art Malik as a crazed hypnotist this is the show for you. They are just two of the stellar cast of guest stars including : Tom Baker, Joanna Scanlan, Simon Day, Anita Dobson, Bill Oddie, Keith Chegwin, Paul Whitehouse, Peter Purves, Dudley Sutton, Mark Williams and Brian Blessed. The Dvd is very cheap on Amazon, here's the link:
