Any tips for cheap/free software to use for making a poster? Basically just combining photos and text but the file needs to be print ready.
Any tips very welcome,
Thanks

Well there's lots of us posters on here. Do you want to make a robotic one that posts stupid comments on this forum?
Try this website:
Have not used it myself but I heard it was good and cheap. It let's you create a poster online for about £5

Thanks Carlos, that looks really good actually, I didn't even know these kind of webites existed. Where did you find the prices? Because I need about 30 copies, and if its 5 each its a little expensive. Theres free applications available as well, like http://www.gimp.org so might give that a try. I need to be able to save the file in print format, poster and leaflet, as well as for web since it will be used as a banner too. The printer that the band has used before said the file needs to be a 300 dpi pdf with bleed. ( http://print24.com/uk/product/folded-leaflets/ ) Just trying to work out what all that means
If you create the poster and then click to buy it it gives you the price of different download options, think one his high quality but not sure of the dpi. You can use the downloaded file as much as you want.
Not sure about the bleed either. It looks like there are some easy ones to make on there for a band poster.
Good luck
