Hello everybody! I'm a filmmaker from New York, and I joined to share my first short comedy film with you all. I'll post a link to it below. I already see a lot of comedy on this site that I'm unfamiliar with, so that's exciting. I hope you enjoy my work, though I also look forward to hearing opinions and criticisms. Thanks!
Greetings from New York
Wotcha Brian, me old cock sparrer! (That's now Brits talk)
Hello mate, welcome to the site!
Not that I have anything against vaginas but I think we already have a link to that movie.
Welcome - but please make sure you spell things in PROPER ENGLISH!

I've only ever been familiar with one thing on this site and she turned out be a quite a piece of work.
Never again.
But welcome to the site anyway. Being from New York is a great asset to a comedian but your name suggests you're not Jewish, and not being Jewish can be a serious handicap to a comedian - and indeed to a songwriter.
Have you thought about converting?
There are tens of comedians which have got on despite being Jewish.
Welcome.
Well Brian, you got to 3rd post, so I willing to open my hart to you and say Welcome to the site. Just don't leave me after a couple of posts, like all the other "Vagina time" people have done. Dumped after 4 posts - do you know how that makes me feel! Do you ? We get loads of Vagina on this website, so don't get too cocky. But Welcome. My favourite bit of your video was "Jazz hands". I might go further when we get to know each other better.

Chappers you must not get all worked up like this - Americans spell it different so move on. What pisses me off is when someone from this country uses American spellings or Americanisms.
Welcome though Brian, even though your first name doesn't match the second.

Are we talking pre or post Shakespearian English ? What about dyslexia - how would I (and others) know ? What about the Chinese, which English should they use ? Surely Originality and creativity necessitate change ? If you address an American, surely it's polite to acknowledge their culture ?

There are so many anomalies there I am not going to even try - I'll just let him off his leash - Chappers!

That comes across as incredibly condescending. If you think looking down your nose at a dyslexic's spelling is funny, I've got a mate in a wheelchair, you'll piss yourself when you see her.

Dear oh dear, what is your problem? Where did I say that dyslexia is funny? And yes, my life is full of f**king laughter whenever I see my wife in her wheelchair, so don't talk to me about disability.
We were talking about American spelling and you've turned into some crusade.
You need to chill out or go on some forum where trolls are welcome.

Fair point, but then you'll know how vulnerable a dyslexic would feel when spelling pisses someone off, especially right after using an Americanism. British dyslexics will often use American English, because those are the most available spell checkers these days. You mentioned a leash so why are you suprised I bite back ? But I am now stood in a large refrigerator at home, chilling.
Well just to exacerbate my situation I also have a heart condition that I am seeing a cardiac specialist next Tuesday about and all this on top of being my wife's primary carer, which means I have to do virtually everything.
As has been proven elsewhere on this site the BCG uses a UK spell checker; but am not sure if it picks everything up, but using phrases such as "heads up" or "FYI" will inflame certain members...........including me.
