I really couldn't say as I was only born the same year.

Interesting trivia: I was born the year Chaplin, Bing Crosby and Presley died. What a year!

Watched "Rock Around the Clock" that featured Bill Haley and His Comets along with others, that I had recorded from Film 4. A film that I had only seen bits of previously.

As I wrote earlier I only watched 15 or 20 minutes of it. Was the film enjoyable on the whole?

As a curiosity, yes. Very good to see the original Platters, but the Ernie Freeman Combo (Who?) and Tony Martinez and His Band left a lot to be desired.
Oh, and not forgetting (probably better to!) Freddie Bell and the Bellboys.

And Mr Bolan.

Carry the bleedin' baggage out!

That's about all they were good for. The crap side of late 50s rock and roll.

Slightly different Bell Boy. Cool

Happy birthday Wilko. Well done mate!

Yes, happy birthday!

Have you seen that IKEA advert with the monkeys?

It's Psychotic Reaction.

Considering whether to go and see these on Friday.

I'm not a big fan of tribute bands but this sounds like great fun. I'd go if I were you.

I think they have a smashing setlist, I'm sure radiat10n would agree:

(from january 2014):

Watcher Of The Skies

In The Dead Of Night

Rhayader Suite

Darkness

Heart Of The Sunrise

Starless

Fanfare For The Common Wurm

Thick As A Brick

Just The Same

Killer

Firth Of Fifth

Roundabout

In The Court Of The Crimson King

I Know What I Like"

I wonder if there's a typo in "Fanfare For The Common Wurm" ...or if it is a clever medley with an integrated section (Würm) from the Yes song Starship Trooper.

I want a review if you go, Chappers!
