At the risk of starting an argument here's the list of the Top 50 best selling singles of 1990. I did try and mix it up a bit where re-releases from films were included along with pop, guitar, rock, reggae etc. I would be interested to know what should've been included...apart from Turtle Power.

There was no chance of me playing Roxette or Michael Bolton so don't even go there! >_<
Yes - EnglandNewOrder, Happy Mondays, Sinead O'Connor, DNA/Suzanne Vega and EMF. The next five would have been B52s, Beautiful South, Pavarotti and possibly Adamski and Black Box. Quite like the MC Hammer but the Rick James record that it is a version of is better in my view.
I wonder what Adamski is doing now.

Thinking: "I could have been Heidi Klum's husb...ah, forget it!"
I believe he currently lives in Berlin with his daughter, Bluebell Williams Tinley.
That is what our man at the front, Sir Gussie Fink Nottle tells me.

I beg to differ.
From the same 1990 album, although the single wasn't released until 1991:

The Status Quo one. There was a Status Quo one wasn't there?
(I've already voted so can't look at the list again)

It was a compilation of covers of classic rock tracks. Parts 1 & 2.
What we used to call an EP.
