What are you watching on TV? Page 2,031

I was going to watch Kanye west on Glastonbury

But I think I might thrust a rusty screwdriver into my urethra instead

ITV Be looks really good if you want to see talentless, plastic non-celebrities.

The movie "Lucy"
What a f**king shambles.

It's as though they took a good movie and edited out all the good bits.

It had all the style of Luc Besson but non of the heart.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Well, I've watched it to the bitter end (last episode tonight) and overall it was OK, but as previous with this sort of thing I wish I hadn't wasted 7 hours of my life to it.

Anyone watch it?

Coffee enemas? Embarrassing bodies. She spends a fortune on coffee over the years but never drinks it!

Episode 3 of Humans, and it's lost its mystery, with the result it's looking increasingly daft. Introducing Paul Kaye as a cartoon character didn't help, and extended sequences concerning Synth nudity go nowhere. It feels like a sci-fi soap.

There are some interesting scenes, and I'll watch the rest to see what happens. But it's not as great as I thought it might be.

And do almost all the men in it have to be pervy, weak minded eejits led around by their penis? I'd be quite insulted if I were a man.

That aspect is entirely accurate.

:D

I've only watched 2 so far but I agree, it has no go about it. The original adverts looked more interesting. It doesn't have the same edge that Black Mirror has had, and isn't really highlighting anything new.

Haven't seen last nights yet, but last weeks was a big improvement.

But it's still firstly replete with the bumper book of android and robot cliches. From AI, to iRobot and even mouldy old 1970s Dr Who it's all been done before.

Secondly it has that maddeningly cheap look that most UK scifi has. I can't imagine it was cheap to film, lots of characters, settings etc.
But we've got artificial intelligence, completely realistic robot androids and all affordable by both the NHS and middle class families.
Ok, so how come they've got those shitty trains to Welwyn Garden City with smelly seats and Skodas. And wouldn't stroppy teans laptop be like a mini ipad or something smaller? It's just lazy and sloppy and incoherent.

All the Androids seem to be playing "Be a robot act stiff" from week one of "Stage Coach occupy the little bastards for the summer holidays cours"

The family seems to consist of Dobby from Peepshow, creepy young girl who seems more like a replicant, standard angry teen possibly an escapee from a Disney movie, son who does nothing but masturbate or think about masturbating and really scary dad. I mean he's going to kill his whole horrid family and bum the family sexbot, whilst she does endless ironing and looks a bit puzzled.

When did this country stop being able to do scifi?

Other than that it's alright,

I do think the little girl is a great actor. The next Ramona Marquez!

I do think the little girl is a great actor. The next Ramona her over with a car and Marquez her face with a knife!

Wow you's fierce girl.

nb episode 3 steadily getting better.

Although the "I just got over my Asimov's laws" was a little pat.

Yes, she is outstanding. Actually, there are a lot of good performances, no problems in that area.

As for Sootyj's stiff robot acting, you should see the Swedish original for really comical robots.

As for Sootyj's stiff robot acting,

Ok so I take viagra to enhance my acting ability, so what?

I had no idea it was originally Swedish, that version has a much more "scifi feel"

I dunno like they made an effort to make the world look believable.
