Happy Birthday, Pete Townshend! Wave

Seventy years old. I hope he has a lot more left in him. He's the closest I've ever come to idolizing someone.

Just heard this on Radio 6 Music and wondered if anyone knew of any longer titles.

Only Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict by Pink Floyd

I just texted through my suggestion.

"If I could do it all over again I'd do it all over you" by Caravan

Whether or not it gets played we'll wait and see.

Well I can't post them all on here like GB does but I've just come back from my trip and bought 11 CDs from various places in Sweden and Finland, some brand new and some second hand (shown in brackets0.

If4 - If (which I'm currently listening to. Great jazz-rock from the early 70s)
Amboy Dukes (including a great version of Baby Please Don't Go which I already knew)
The Mothers - Filmore East June 1971.
Beautiful - the Remix Album - Blondie (Second Hand)
Besides - Pet Shop Boys (a 3 Cd compilation of stuff which appears to be a do-it-yourself disc but only 50c. Second Hand)
Toipilas - Kirsi Helena (second hand. Only 1 euro - no idea what it was but thought I'd give it a go at that price.)
Eleven Eyes to Shade - Murmansk (As above second hand but 2 euros).
Cheap Thrills - Big Brother and the Holding Company (Featuring Janis Joplin)
Essential - Jethro Tull (I've got nothing by them so thought I'd get this for a start)
Words and Music - John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits. (Don't know much apart from Jack and Diane but heard a documentary about Mick Ronson recently and heard he produced and played on a lot of his stuff so thought I'd take a chance)
The Essential Carole King. Very interesting in that one CD has her singing and a second CD features some of the hits she wrote for others such as the Shirelles, the Chiffons, the Monkees and the Everly Brothers.

Gradually working my way through them, the first one I played was the Carole King one.

Just recently been to Asda and got the recently re-mastered Led Zeppelin 1, 4 and Houses of the Holy for £14 the lot.

What about them? (Not Them) - I mean have you just bought them/Them or are just listening to them/Them?

I just bought them, of course. Otherwise I'd have used the listening-thread.

OK. Thanks for clearing that up.

I've just bought tickets to see Family at Shepherds Bush in December.
