My niece (who is a lesbian) proclaimed for all to hear 'that she couldn't wait to go home and kiss her girlfriends beef curtains'

After the shock of this had died down, my mother (in her 80's) asked me
'what are beef curtains'?

My local butchers are a married couple. You always know who will be serving before you go in. If it's the man serving they have a big sausage and a couple of meatballs hanging in the window, if the woman is serving they usually have the beef curtains drawn.
