Is it OK to make fun of other cultures???

Hi everyone!

I create videos in an uncommon way and put them on my YouTube channel called ComedyGhostWriter.

I find clips of different cultures in various languages and edit them by purposely inserting "false" subtitles.

What do you think? Am I crossing the line here or is it totally fine?

Nothing wrong with redubbing, Eurotrash, Victor Lewis Smith and I thin even Charlie Brookers done it. I suppose as long as you don't make the actual subtitles particularly racist.

You're problem is the video you chose is inherently very funny.

So your subtitles which aren't bad are competing with your actual material.

I appreciate your review.

It is a bigger challenge if I choose clips which are not meant to be comic, actually sometimes I do that as well.

The best choice of footage to work with is perhaps something very serious (and non religious or racist).

I try to think "If I came from this country, would I be offended?" But that is not 100% guaranteed as all cultures are different.
