Yes - shame.

The only group to have a Top 20 hit in every year of the 1970s.

Sad news, I love their music. RIP Errol.

I believe in miracles...

One of the best moments of the movie The Full Monty is when they dance to You Sexy Thing.

RIP

That was a classic. Remember when Prince Charles did a reinactment of it...or tried to!

Charles was very partial to the Three Degrees. Hot Chocolate with a different lead singer played the Belfast Waterfront with a version of the Three Degrees last Saturday or at least that was scheduled.

That sounds a good gig.

Yes.

I have just been reading up a bit more on Errol. His first main record with what was then the Hot Chocolate Band was a reggae version of "Give Peace a Chance" on the Beatles' own Apple label. I understand that he also co-wrote the song "Think About Your Children" for Mary Hopkin who was my favourite at the age of seven! He always seemed old for a pop star to me. He was 30/31 at the time of "You Sexy Thing" in 1975 which I guess was on the older side. Seems ridiculous now, of course.
