As soon as I saw your offering, I remembered this one - clearly the name doesn't mean the same thing in America. Laughing out loud

For Christ's sake you only have to do one with "on".

OR is a big pussy.

At last............

Dunno why you've highlighted the THE - it has "on" in it. :)

Yellow card!

In Britain it was just called "GET IT ON" - nothing about a bloody gong. That was the US version.

Deep Purple - NiNO* Temple and April Stevens

(*ON backwards if you insist on your dictatorial new rules).

April Love - Pat Boone

Didn't know we had to stick to British titles only, since when was that introduced Victor? It is still a song title - if I had just put Get It On, which would have "qualified" you would have said it wasn't the full title, so I couldn't have got it right either way.

Got f'all to do with me being dictatorial , we were just having a bit of fun (remember that?) trying to stick with titles that had "on" in them. Dear oh dear. Chill out - take one of yer happy pills.

Apart from which..............

That's Reprise/1032 so it's definitely the US version.

The UK one is Fly Records/Bug 10.

It is, of course, the best T Rex song.

The Power Station did a terrible version of it in 1985.

It was called "Get It On (Bang a Gong)".

Thank you kindly and ta very muchski. Unimpressed
