That's your story.

Heh. I saw Graham Norton in M&S once. I just stared at him a bit.
Mickey Rourke is my favourite one
Oh and I have a signed photo of the Beatles
Ok that one is probably the best one

I have one like that, done by Deidre in their office.
Not this one
My Aunty met them
I also have one of Thin Lizzy's gold discs signed
Although I'm not sure the disc is genuine as Deirdre in the office might have smelted the gold herself
I think there was a similar thread quite a while back which might have been about famous people you have met. People included whose autographs they'd got.
My list is quite embarrassing now I look back on it; it looks like I'm a celebrity chaser.

What are the best ones you have?

Hmm, that's subjective.

Those are good Steve.
Quote: Oldrocker @ 17th April 2015, 12:46 AM BSTReally great. Remember those arcade games where you had a gun in a holster and had to beat the machine to the draw? We had a good few goes on that and others. The tour headliner was Big Dee Irwin.
Great memories. Really enjoyed hearing about those. I didn't have a misspent youth. Whenever anyone suggested arcades, I made sure we went to the pool hall under the multi-storey car park.
My best one is definitely the one I got from Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe after their gig. My best friend has won two "Meet & Greet"-tickets for a Pet Shop Boys concert in Zürich...or was it in Basel? Anyway, they both were very nice. I let them sign my "Discography" singles compilation. I even got a photo with Tennant and me on it.

Excellent. Your own photo alongside somebody famous is one of the things everybody should have in life. An old friend had his taken with Peter Gabriel and has it posted on the internet. He managed to get that one because he was booked at an event to play the didgeridoo. I have just got names or names on famous peoples' photos. But, hey, that's cool too. Cool enough to have a thread about it!
I've got a few pics with celebs but embarrassingly I didn't know who some of them were. It's great when they are generous with their time and attention but some are a bit up their own behinds. I went to an event once where a celeb was handing out signed pics of herself whether we wanted them or not. I wished I'd taken a signed pic of myself to give to her, that would have been interesting.
I think the nicest celebrity encounter I had was sitting near Michael Jackson, his children and entourage when I went to see Billy Elliot. In the interval he queued up with every one else for loo/ice cream etc. He chatted a bit to others in the queue but I didn't see anyone bother him or ask for pics or autographs. It was nice to see people letting him enjoy the show with his family.
Michael Jackson?!
Loopey wins the thread.

Ha ha, thanks Zoo. It was a very slick operation, the lights went down and he was sort of smuggled in just as the show started. I don't think many people noticed until the interval. I just happened to be sitting near him. I don't know how long Billy Elliot has been running but it seems a very long time ago - I don't even remember people having mobiles.
I wouldn't have been able to pay any attention to the show!
