Autographs

What autographs do you have and how did you get them?

Write to people, that is how I got Bob Monkhouse's, with a nice letter. :D

David Frost - met him on a railway station. Very nice, interesting person. :)

OK - where do I start? Not that I'm a nerd or anything.

Alex Kingston
Roger Dean
Peter Osgood, David Webb, Peter Bonetti, Ron Harris, Ian Hutchinson etc etc etc.
John Otway!!!!!

All face to face.

Colin Blunstone

Sonja Kristina.

I'm impressed.

Is there anything more to tell us about that one? :)

Saw her 2 or 3 times at Sutton United's Boom Boom Club. They're* touring again soon with a new album.

* Curved Air for those not familiar.

I think I've got Noel and Julian's from the Boosh somewhere. But I didn't ask them for it in person, just bought a signed version of something.

Don't think I've ever asked someone to sign something, it seems a bit arbitrary. Why do I want their name written on something? But then I do overthink things a bit.

I like them. :)

What you ask is a good question. I don't have any answers. But early on, I got a few and other people got some for me. Mostly it is a spur of the moment thing rather than anything planned.

Bill Wyman on a programme from the early 60s.

And Screaming Lord Sutch likewise. I spent a couple of hours with him on a pier somewhere.

She's six months from 60 there. That is pretty good going. :)

I suppose it's just the socially accepted way of meeting someone you admire and connecting with them for a few seconds.

If I didn't hate meeting people I'd probably rather just shake their hand and say hi and leave out the autograph bit. :)

A couple of hours?

What was it like? :D

Are there any incriminating photos?

I reckon alcohol is often a factor. It is easy to get swept along with it. :D

I did that with Graham Norton - just shook hands that is.

Really great. Remember those arcade games where you had a gun in a holster and had to beat the machine to the draw? We had a good few goes on that and others. The tour headliner was Big Dee Irwin.
