Ah yes, I was ruminating.

Madeline Bell has a fantastic voice but HGT has a teeth thing.

It all makes sense now.

A bloke with a MASSIVE record/cd collection on Collectaholics on BBC2 now. Wow - I so envy him!

75.000 cds and about 50,000 box sets!

He gets stuff through the post everyday.

He spends £55,000 a year!

I bought the Springsteen one because of the smashing bonus disc with rarities.

Is there a reason why Saturday is your CD buying day, Gordon?

Everyday is CD-buying day (postman delivered Dave Edmunds' debut this week)...but on saturday there's the local flea market which means there's a big chance finding (relatively) rare CDs at a (relatively) reasonable price.

Just knew it was a market. :D

I did mention this before. Probably in the What are you watching thread.

On my frequent visit to Whitstable where there are 2 actual CD/Record Shops - one second hand (SH)and one new - I bought the following:-

Chicago Transit Authority (SH)
Best of Nils Lofgren (SH)
Mythical Kings and iguanas - the Ultimate Collection - Dory Previn
Paul Rodgers and Friends live at Montreux
Six wives of Henry VIII - Rick Wakeman (ummed and aahed over whether to get the deluxe version or original and decided to get the basic one at half the price of the other - now wish I'd got the expanded version).
Magical Mystery Tour DVD - been after it for ages.

This one's (both versions) winking at me for weeks in the record store on my way home. I have almost every Yes album but no Wakeman solo record yet.

That's on my "to do"-list as well.

I'm just wondering if "Night of the Iguana" on "Shine" cross-refers obliquely to that Dory Previn record? I had never heard the title of that Previn record before. I recognise, of course, it is also a Tennessee Williams book and a film as indicated in the video clip. The entire "Shine" album is a masterpiece. Late - 2007. I love it. And it is surely the best record ever released by/via Starbucks.
