How freaky is this???

I just got the following invite for a birthday party:

Okay, so the plan is that we go and celebrate with a good laugh at News Revue - http://www.newsrevue.com/ - which is a topical improv comedy show type thing at a tiny "theatre" upstairs from a pub in Little Venice, and no, I haven't worked out how I'll get home yet...

The show itself doesn't start until 9.30pm, but I figured we can meet up at the pub and have a drink or two to get over the week before the thing starts properly.

The venue itself is also *really* tiny, only 60 seats, and you can't even advance book until the day itself.

The thing is is that the night he has chosen coincides with the week my Budget sketch submission will be most topical. How bizarre!

Just have to hope it gets chosen now.

Oh and don't get your hopes up, you may be the most topical guy of the night.

But if some one writes a song about Gazza, to the tune of Una Paloma Blanca, with the words bum and knob in it you'll get bumped.

Either that or I'll do a wildly original sketch about George Bush doing a poo, and being stupid, and eating the poo or something.

Both I suspect have a better than average chance.

You could write the wildly tasteless Maddy skit they seem to love to put in once a month.

Do Newsrevue offer free tickets to writers who've had work performed? I know The Treason Show do; maybe worth asking.
