Why does the BBC keep on showing Top Gear? Hypocrite bastards.

The Masters which is the only golfing event I make sure to watch every year. The traditions are great and the course is beautiful. Well done to Jordan Spieth. An astonishing achievement for a 21 year old.
And it's funny how attitudes can change. Two or three decades ago, I used to moan about Peter Alliss being an old woman. Now I reckon the dear old fella is one of the greatest ever broadcasters in sport.

In sport? But I thought you said he was broadcaster in - golf?
Caught a glimpse of BGT on some prog. this morning - for Gawd's sake, and that is some people's highlight of the week on a Saturday. Get a f**king life people.

Not a terrible point.
One bit of technique yesterday was compared to that of Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Well, that doesn't make it any better. Anyone who thinks a contest you partake in wearing a waistcoat is a sport needs kind, caring and considerate help by people in white overcoats.
Golf, snooker, darts. Not sports.
Never will be. Ever.
(pauses to chew carpet rug)
Hell will freeze over before I consider them to be a sport of any kind.
Jack Dee's Election Helpdesk. Aisling Bea is sexy.

Yes.
A dream.
And her name is so much easier to spell than O'Súilleabháin and Ní Shúilleabháin.

Agreed! I've got it turned to a volume I can hardly hear but she is gorgeous!
One thing I did hear though was the Politics teacher who wouldn't tell his students which political party he supported; he's a politics teacher with a yellow jumper. Of course he's Labour.

My sixth form politics teacher was much the same. Facially, very yellow jumper and yet officially neutral in a class of Tories, one individual pretending to be Labour, and me. Anyhow, I found him out because at the time I was a Social Democrat. I went to one meeting in town at which the Social Democrats and the Liberals met up and he was standing there with a glass of something. On seeing me, he looked absolutely horrified. But in a sense that sort of position then was neutral so he needn't have worried unduly. And I enjoyed really excellent marks for my work from that night until the end of that year.
