One of the greatest songs ever written.

In fairness, its symbolism requires a thesis:

Dennis Brown - Wichita Linemen

I love that song but it has to be Glenn Campbell.

Yep - GC's is the definitive version.

I'm a big fan of his but dug this one out to provide something a bit different.

I think the artwork on the Poco album was drawn by the late Phil Hartman.

I did a little research on that because of your post. Hartman has designed the cover for the Poco album Legend from 1978 (so says wikipedia). The design company that made the cover for Legacy (1989) must have copied the head of the original horse drawing.

Anyway, I didn't know Phil Hartman has also been a designer...interesting fact.

That's their only two gold albums right there, both are good, but not as good as the best of the early albums on Epic. On a related note, Richie Furay has a new album out soon which sounds promising.

I had a couple of Poco tracks on samplers in the early 70s such as "You better think twice" but they weren't enough to persuade me to buy their album unlike Santana or Argent.

Buy this if you don't want to buy their albums:

One of the best "hits"-compilations I own. As radiat10n already pointed out, the stuff from their Epic years is amazing.

Laughing out loud

Quite a refreshing article by Tracey Thorn about her song "Missing" which was used recently on a TV singing competition.

I do like her voice and Everything but The Girl and Eden is one of my favourite albums of the 1980s.

I can understand it too as she says that people can interpret songs differently.
