OK. I've probably got most of it - apart from the live one.

I went to their 10th anniversary show in - I think Finsbury Park - with among others, Doctor and the Medics in support. I tried to tape it and have a crappy muffled cassette somewhere.

Ash are back!!! Woo!!!

And their comeback single has one of the daftest key changes I've heard - about 2 minutes in, if you're interested.

Just spotted it.

A great band with at least two classic albums in "1977" and "Free All Angels".

I'm assuming Charlotte Hatherley isn't involved this time. A great pity as she is seriously underrated. I reckon she has considerably more talent than anyone who was ever in Elastica, Echobelly and Sleeper.

Little Darlin' - The Diamonds

All together now - Boo Bop Showaddy Wah! 1957! Cool

And still original line up and going strong in 2004!!

Disc one is awesome!!!!

Glad to see Blur are back! One of my favourite bands in my teens!

I wasn't very keen on the new single the first time I heard it, but it's grown on me a lot since then.

That's news to me. Good to hear. In 2004 me and my buddy had tickets for a Blur concert in Zürich. We've bought them 6 months before the event. Then suddenly a David Bowie concert was announced...for the very same day. We haven't seen both of them live before. So we thought: "who knows how long Bowie is carrying on, he's in his fifties". So we sold the Blur tickets and went to the Bowie gig instead. This was a good decision in some way because Bowie retired soon afterwards due to health problems. But Blur have disbanded as well after that tour...so we definitely missed one act.
Maybe that's a new chance now!

From my favourite shop - British heart foundation - I bought 2 cds. Rare Bird - Sympathy and my first Jim Jones revue album - Burning your house down. I saw them on TV years ago but never bought anything til today.

Antoine "Fats" Domino is 87 today. :O

Happy Birthday!

Noticed his eight children's names all start with an "A"..........

Big influence on many pop and jazz people with his piano style, and in my opinion did the best ever version of Blueberry Hill.........

Ben, that's news to me and I do like them but they are close to equalling Sinatra's comebacks.

Definitely a legend.

I wasn't intending to underestimate him.

Chuck Berry was 88 in October, mind. :)

The Doo Dad bit was because I did it on my phone but I can only use the excuse for the Ruttles error that I'm getting old.
