These two have been on my mind for several years and then I stumble across this forum....perfect!
1. The Two Ronnies had a long sketch in which some travellers or a traveller gets lost and ends up in some medieaval English village. 'Can't remember exactly how it finishes but it's basically a set-up to take money off other gullible "lost" travellers.
2. Kevin Allen (brother of Keith) produced and directed a series of short programmes televised on BBC2 covering the 1991 Rugby World Cup. Not essentially comedy but a very sideways glance and very critical of the English attitudes to hosting the competition. I think it was called Barbours, Booze and Bores, or something like that.
