Do go on. I'm intrigued.
Thinking of emigrating to Canada Page 3
No, it would be a long post.
Besides, they say ignorance is bliss.
I'll just let you carry on waving your stick and shouting 'bloody foreigners taking our jobs blah blah', 'bloody labour blah blah'.
That way at least I know you are happy

It's all about the mega rich, who really rule the world removing all barriers to the movement labour. Then we become a vast global working class. The monolithic corporations choosing who to employ from where ever. Knowing full well that with 6,000,000,000 effectively competing for each job, that pay, and working conditions will stay as low as they can keep them. Look at how many restaurant, hospital, and other service industry jobs are minimum wage only, and staffed almost entirely from over seas. Look at how much call center and IT work is slipping over seas. We're returning to an undemocratic, feudal state and it's available live 24 hours a day, we just don't care.
Quote: ian_w @ February 27, 2008, 4:16 PMWe were going like this (and still are to a very large extent) -
Lots and lots of old people, and a very small number of young people to support all the old people.
We should have raised the retiring age to 80 and stamped out ageism then!
Quote: ian_w @ February 27, 2008, 4:16 PMThat's it in a nutshell. It's the root of many of the problems we are facing as a country. I could go on in specific detail about population pyramids etc is you want?
No thanks, I am sure you can bamboozle yourself with your liberal 'pipe and slippers' theories so don't bother for my sake!
Quote: ian_w @ February 27, 2008, 4:16 PMDoes anyone believe btw that the Western governments were allowing this influx of immigrants because they really cared about them and just wanted to be nice?
No, it's because governments always take the easy short-term options.

You and I don't agree that often mate but I think you have hit the nail on the head there.
When I left school in 1972 there were plenty of good jobs available and employers offered excellent ongoing job training and eductaion via day release and block study. Not because they wanted to but because they had to if they wanted to have capable and loyal staff. Now employers just want to pick and choose from candidates who already have experience so they don't need to train them. We are going backwards not forwards and too much immigration is contributing to this slide back into cheap labour and dead-end jobs.
Quote: Aaron @ February 27, 2008, 4:14 PMEh? You do realise that in "open spaces and fresh air" you've just described most of England? Certainly most of the UK?
My fault, I meant to say London as I presume you are a city dweller.
I firmly believe it won't be long before we will see one global government, and one, heavily policed and certainly undemocratic, global state.
I think there are lots of people who do care about that, but nowhere near enough.
I also believe capitalism has almost single-handedly destroyed any sense of community or looking-out-for-each-otherness we may once have had. 'Greed is good' is still well and truly alive, we are concerned almost entirely with what affects us personally and disregard or soon forget about anythnig that does not. People stand by and watch these shit changes taking place because they have forgotten that they are one of a great many who are being shafted up the arris by a tiny, select few.
This imo is what allows them to write things like 'announcing the birth of the new world order' on dollar bills so that they can say to the dosile population they are controlling 'well you can't say we didn't warn you'.
So sad and so true!
Back in the bad old days when Labour set out to ruin this country, we had the brain drain.....Once back in power they set about setting this country back again and now we have the wealth drain. Anyone with any money and yes brains is getting out whilst they still can.
It's all part of the great Scottish plan. Kill England!!
Don't go Tuumble someone has to stay and fight!

You underestimate me. But then, as you (or was it sootyj) said elsewhere, the Jews own all of the banks, so you should know what you're on about.

If only. The sooner Parliament is revoked and the Royal family given their full powers back, the better we'll all be.
Quote: Curt @ February 27, 2008, 4:46 PMMy fault, I meant to say London as I presume you are a city dweller.
I'm not actually, but as you mentioned London, it has more green, open spaces than any other major (or was it capital?) city in the world. Surprising perhaps, but true.
Quote: Aaron @ February 27, 2008, 5:07 PMYou underestimate me.
I really don't Aaron. That was just a bit of banter I didn't mean it at all.
But then, as you (or was it sootyj) said elsewhere, the Jews own all of the banks, so you should know what you're on about.
Lots of truth in that, though I do think the Jews are being used.
I also think they were used as an excuse to establish a strategical military outpost in the middle east after WW2.

*shudder*
(One could argue that we're there in all but appearances though.)

Sadly, indeed we all are. Just not by those we'd suspect, I suspect. Or do I?
Mate just go. This country is going to pot. Given half the chance I would come with you. My dream is to settle somewhere outside of the UK.
Quote: Aaron @ February 27, 2008, 5:17 PMSadly, indeed we all are. Just not by those we'd suspect, I suspect. Or do I?
I think you're absolutely right. It's just of course I feel particularly sensative about the hatred being directed towards Jews by so many people.
