Songs you hate

We've all got 'em - ones we have to turn off when they come on the radio (or is it just me? :P ) , and this thread was inspired by my first choice that started playing when I tuned into Rock 'n Roll Sunday this afternoon.

Melting Pot - Blue Mink

I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston

Honey - Bobby Goldsboro

That.

My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion

Cleaning Out My Closet - Eminem. " Mama, I never meant to hurt you..." Horrible!

You're Not Alone - Michael Jackson. Puke!

Don't Wanna Miss A Thing - Aerosmith. Vomit!

Seven Nation Army - White Stripes, I don't hate it but think it's overrated. The White Stripes have much more interesting stuff.

I hate a song called The Final Countdown, by some American band. They just keep on repeating the same phrase. It's horribly pompous. I don't know who does it, and don't want to.

That Amarillo song. Probably mainly because of Peter sodding Kaye.

Anything by Jessie J because her voice gives me an actual literal headache.

If I hate a piece of music, then I know that at least it's got some quality to it.

The worst music is that to which I'm indifferent.

I don't know. The music you're indifferent to doesn't usually get stuck in your head on repeat over and over all night long, does it.

I would say that was worse!

Sorry, but they're a Swedish band.

Every single one

The year the music died.

You make a very good point!

It's probably different for everybody, but I have often found that I can end up loving music that I initially hated, so I always give it a chance. If it gets stuck in my head, that shows it has special qualities which I might grow to love.

I always hated that particular song but liked some of their other hits. Ok, that was in the late 80s...but I still have two of their albums.

Lovely Day - Bill Withers

Anything by Kylie. I really do turn off the car radio when she comes on. I loathe her with a vengeance.

Oh yes, her voice can be incredibly annoying/affected.
