Non-posting members

Have they got something to hide - or are they people in the biz?

I just looked to see which members were online and there was one who's been a member since July 2012 without making one post.

Intriguing...

Some people like to lurk. Sometimes it's interesting to just observe and read comments.

Why bother being a member? We all had to give Aaron our bank account numbers and sort codes didn't we?

Errrrrrrrr............did you?

Love a good lurk.........in the park......in the summer......when ladies...... :P

You have to have to register to enter competitions (to win DVDs and things) or to see writing-related threads on the 'Active Threads' page, or to allow the site to remember which threads have had new posts added since you last read them. I originally registered for the competitions, but find the other features very useful for more efficient lurking.

Be honest Chappers, all you gave him was a safe word!

Yes and some of us just literally can't be arsed to post anything

I didn't really want to post this

Now I wish I hadn't.

Your holiness why do I have a smelly package from Vatican city, with £50 postage to pay and a postman vomiting in my garden?

I am just going to return it to sender.

I Lurk and post.

Ah, but have you ever posted a lurk?

I know HGT - I was in the park earlier, remember? Yes, it is rather cold and no, I don't think that you need to make an appointment to see your GP about it - it'll drop off with some ointment.

I Lurk and post.

I saw you lurking the other day. Were you sitting in St James's Park fondling a moorhen?

:$ Yes, quite embarrassing when my raincoat suddenly flew open - sorry about that and you noticed my "problem".

And some people just continually post rubbish.

I have thought of a reason why actually. It means they don't re-read stuff they've already seen.
