Your greatest ever BCG post Page 2

What is the greatest post you've ever made on the BCG.
It doesn't have to be funny even if it was meant to be.

It could be a moment of profundity, a flounce, a razor sharp criticism of some Doctor Who episode.

Which post do you consider your finest work on these very boards.

Mine's a toss up between these two

Any of the ones of less than 10,000 words. :)

And that's saying something coming from you Horse.

A little old fashioned but that's alright.

You realise the call of verbose comes from the same sort of instinct as verboten?

Be wary in this Age of Tweet of how governing big wigs close us down.

(And I'm not talking about keep your Aaron) :D

That's me, and I like old fashioned - good cocktail. :)

Aaron! He's taking the Michael...........

He's probably an Aaron who pronounces the start of himself "a" rather than "air".

That's not to argue for letting reality get in the way of convenient perception. :)

How the common people pronounce it you mean. :P

verboten

Ein böses Wort!

Quote: Gordon Bennett @ 22nd January 2015, 7:21 PM GMT

Ein böses Wort!

Boeses - evil, wicked, gruesome

The only gruesome I like is the gruesome twosome.

Not the 1967 film in which a demented, elderly woman has her mentally retarded son kill and scalp various young women to use their hair for her wig shop or indeed the ones from way out Wacky Races who drove the creepy coupe. But rather this very cool motor which travelled all the yellow tracks once built on carpeted stairways in my locality. Seeing the price of it today, I must get into the loft and dig it out along with its tens of cousins.

Yet to come . .

There was one a few years back which I happened upon but have no link to(!) It concerned a certain former member's comedy internet fora and the fact that he was trying, in vain, to replicate the success of the BCG, albeit on a much smaller scale. His Father Ted one apparently had, according to one BCG poster 'a whole load of slutty girls' pictured under the header. The owner's riposte - "Father Jack likes girls." That made me literally laugh out loud and scare poor old Mr TBN, who had to rewind his Channel 5 programme about benefit cheats for five minutes as a result of the disruption.

I can remember that!
