The Yazidis share elements of their faith with Christianity and Islam, also practising the sacrifice of animals and circumcision. Their supreme being is Yasdan, whose divine will is executed by the Peacock Angel, Malak Taus, whom Yazidis worship five times a day. People can only be born in to the faith. They cannot join it.
Makes about as much sense as any other religion.

The app or mindfulness?
Religion to me has it's rightful place in society. I am agnostic/atheist but was brought up in the Christian faith - I was even a choirboy and enjoyed that until my voice broke.
It's when it impeaches on others of a different or none faith where it becomes a big problem.
A church wedding or Christening or funeral is the right place to have these things, whether you are a believer or not... you just have to skip past the sermon gobbledygook.
But alas we are in the minority Lazzard, the muslim thing is ingrained from birth and cannot be expunged.
last week I spoke to two asian lads about the Paris thing. Two perfectly normal men. They work hard for a living and bring up their families in the muslim faith. We have a laugh and a joke, even racial banter which is taken in fun both ways.
But, they were in no doubt that to mock the prophet will always result in death.
