Rod Taylor

Has died aged 84 and I just wanted to say farewell to a great (born in Australia, which I didn't realise) actor who appeared in many good films even though none were what you would call blockbusters. Not one of the mega-stars but enjoyable to watch, no more so than one of my favourites - The Time Machine in 1960.

Cranky effects by today's standards but still a very watchable film in my eyes which I enjoy when it is shown on TV.

Had a cameo appearance as Winston Churchill in Inglourious Basterds.

Rod Taylor RIP

RIP Rod.

I liked him a lot...and Time Machine is great. I was surprised seeing him in the "hippie-film" Zabriskie Point which I watched mostly because of the great soundtrack.

There's a very funny Big Bang Theory where Leonard thinks he has bought a model of the time machine from that film, but when it is delivered it turns out to be a full size one - very good episode. :)

With Sheldon having nightmares with Morlocks harrassing him. Laughing out loud

Yup, very funny :D
