Potential great sitcoms that only last one series Page 2

Like Alan Davies, I was disappointed that 'Whites' didn't get a second series.

I agree with Darkplace

Human Remains (if it counts as a sitcom)

Human Remains. Absolutely. Rob Brydon is one of my all time favourites, but I think he peaked early with this and Marion & Geoff.

One that was only shown in Scotland I think and ran for 6 episodes, Legit. This was written by Robert Florence of Burnistoun fame. From around 2006.

I rather liked Thieves Like Us

It was a nice show to work on. It was commissioned by BBC3, but the audience it attracted was older than the channel aimed at, and although we tried to get it on BBC1, they didn't feel it had broad enough appeal. So it stopped, though Danny got another book out of it.

Little Armadillos. Bet no-one else remembers it.

'Believe Nothing' was great, deserved another series.

Going Straight was one.

I've got to say, I relly enjoyed Respectable - his wife, of course has been in Roger Roger (in which I really fancied her).

On topic again, although Harry Worth did many a series on a similar theme, I wish there was more My Name Is Harry Worth.

Tony

Police Squad, an astonishing piece of work

I saw that being recorded at Teddington. Excellent cast, fantastic writing; I wonder what went wrong?

Police Squad, an astonishing piece of work

Agreed, I still quote it now:

"Who are you and how did you get in here?"
"I'm a locksmith and I'm a locksmith."

I guess you could argue that the three feature films sated the audience?
