Anyone got any ideas? Page 2

I would also recommend Lucky Feller. It's Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em meets Only Fools And Horses.

Do you have Man About The House, Bless This House, and/or George And The Dragon in your collection?

'Allo 'Allo!, Hi-De-Hi!, The Likely Lads, Please Sir!?

I have Man About The House.

Bless this House is coming through the post.tomorrow.

Thanks for the ideas. I will watch a couple of episodes of all of those you suggested, and decide whether to buy the DVD.

If you like that (Briers) then I can highly recommend Every Decreasing Circles - he is absolutely superb in it.

Agree 100%

One of the best ever.

There wasn't a bad episode, and I always said that Howard and Hilda should have had a spin-off series of their own. So funny the pair of them - surely there was loads of mileage there.

£200 will buy you a fair few boxsets Gazzo, I'd highly recommend that 25 quid of that go on two of the purist sitcoms ever, Rising Damp and Fawlty Towers, just outright laughs all the way. Some Mother's Do Ave Em is also a must for the physical comedy. You'll be needing these laughs after watching Goodnight Sweetheart.

Sorry Gazzo, I don't want to hijack your thread but I thought this is the right place to ask my question. I'm in the mood for classic comedy and now that Christmas isn't that far away I thought about putting You Rang, M'Lord? and Hi-De-Hi! on my wishlist. Good idea? FYI, I really like Dad's Army and IAHHM... but I'm not a big fan of AYBS?.

...The Good Life could be an alternative to one of the other two.

Not sure about You Rang, M'Lord?, but Hi-De-Hi! definitely! Certainly when Simon Cadell was in it as I didn't go much on his replacement.

Thanks Herc, these shows are not that much discussed about on this site so I'm a bit unsure. I appreciate every opinion.
