In a German quiz show one question was: "What's the title of Muhammad Ali's autobiography". The stupid woman's answer was: "Mein Kampf?". No joke.
Pointless - Thick or what? Page 2
That's as good as the Trafalgar Square Christmas Tree answer

I'd've probably said Fullers ESB.
"Pointless" is generally quite challenging.
My neighbours got tickets for "The Chase". The 80 year old lady struggled into London where she met her daughter after work. On arriving at the studio early, they decided not to go in but to have a cup of tea somewhere else. By the time they got back, loads of people had entered and they were told they were too late. It was "first come, first serve". I haven't worked out whether they were dim or the programme makers were dim. You would have thought that if a ticket didn't guarantee a seat, the ticket would have said so.
It probably did, in the small print.
Poor old lady though.

Yes, zooo, that's what I think happened but it isn't the sort of thing I could say to them.
It was 90 minutes each way and it would only make it worse.

That happens with most TV shows though because they're free and they always dish out more on a first come, first served basis.

Yes - I suppose so.
But they were sent in the post and that, I think, is what threw them.
I prefer "Pointless" to "The Chase" but like "Eggheads" best.
What I haven't seen is Richard's other series and it isn't on currently.

I like Pointless best. Eggheads next but it's like watching Manchester United. You hope the Eggheads get stuffed. Especially Kevin.

It's all relative.
The other night the final question was name 3 Diane Keaton films. They came up with Tootsie, Kramer vs Kramer and something else she isn't in. I can understand not getting a pointless answer, but they couldn't even come up with Annie Hall or The Godfather.
But if the question had been name 3 people connected with Cricket, the best I would be able to come up with would be Ian Botham, Freddie Flintoff and Jimeny Cricket. And the £1000 rolls over to the next show.
Well I know bugger all about films.
Eggheads???
I just want someone from the guest team to walk across the studio and punch their bloody lights out !
And as for Jeremy Vine . . . .

Yes, I felt sorry for them on that one - if you're a fan of that actress then you're laughing, (the girl had never heard of her) but all I could think of was Annie Hall and Manhattan(?) both Woody Allen films I think(?) who she was associated with quite a bit.
Then last night was it(?) a similar thing happened with Matthew McConaughey films - who? Don't even know who he is let alone what films he had been in and I think they didn't get one right even - I sympathised with them.
Currently watching a load of "Pointless" episodes on Sky+, it's great each episode takes about 10 minutes tops as I cut out all the faff and get straight to the questions.
"University Challenge" is my favourite, purely for that reason, there's loads of questions and no chat.
