The Disappointment of Facebook Friend Requests

thoughts?

I have to say I don't find it more than mildly amusing.

You receive a friends request on Facebook and you hope it's from a hot girl. That's a very normal reaction for a young man and will get a smile of recognition from the audience.

So far so good.

You then realise it's from your friend's little brother and so you're disappointed. Okay, the audience again recognises the situation and joins in your disappointment but now the sketch MUST use that as a springboard to go somewhere funny.

Unfortunately, it doesn't go anywhere funny. You decide to accept the little fellow simply because doing so will increase your 'friends' tally.

Compacted into about 15 seconds, it might be an amusing intro to a very much longer piece, but as a standalone sketch, it's far too wordy, you speak far too quickly at times, and it's not nearly funny enough.

To improve it, you could have the request come from from your friend's snot-nosed SISTER and, after expressing your disgust and disappointment, you say:

". . . but nevertheless, she won't always be a kiddywink, she won't always be covered in spots and she might even lose a bit of weight so . . ."

". . . accepted!"

That could get big laughs from people who get it as a reflection of your ongoing sexual starvation and thus your highly-tuned 'waste not, want not' attitude to potential sexual partners.

I should stress that the above ending is in no way depicting a sexual interest in minors. Quite the contrary - it shows you acting and planning to act in an entirely lawful manner with regard to sex with young girls.

And it's funny.
