The CrappyCast Podcast

CrappyCast is a comedy podcast, hosted by Cameron & Fraser.

We've listened to each episode of our podcast around a hundred times, in the editing suite. We have no gage. We don't know if the podcast is remotely funny or not. That's why I ask so kindly if you lovely people of the BCG's forum, to have a listen and provide feedback. Please?

I know exactly what you mean I loose all objectivity after the second rewrite of anything.

I seen the clips ran 30 mins plus and decided I wouldn't bother but listened to the Kermit Sketch and I laughed hard -

So listening to the others all your show lacks is:

A theme to frame each episode and some more confidence plus indignation!

Your comic instincts are great but you seem to apologise for the joke -

'I'm not getting him DVD's, I want them to move forward, just get f**king netflicks'

Great line but the uncertain delivery left it a bit flat.

Or in beer; at around 7.25 "it's not fair, your sister, what age is she, your having proper family, I suppose it's the only way she's going to learn about what it's like living in your house hold, but sometimes it crosses me as a bit harsh, but families have their ways"

Or something to that effect, but it's just a stream of subconscious. What are you saying? I think if you played devils advocate to each others ideas it would give it some conflict and up the ante.

Have you ever listened to The Ricky Gervais podcast? It's a great example of sticking to a theme and having opposing points of view throughout. If you listen to it, it seems natural and off the cuff but it's all scripted material, best bits from their old XFM show.

Thank you. The comment about the Kermit sketch was very flattering.

When we started, our aim was to record 3 episodes at the same time and then put them out. The idea was to test our commitment. With the fourth episode we can take feedback onboard and improve it. I think we have a good theme for ep4 and some conflict.
