The Comedy Writers' Social

If you're an aspiring comedy writer who can see some benefit of getting together with like-minded individuals, you might be interested in this:

It's little more than a meet-up in a London pub (and an email discussion list to extend the discussions a little further, and for those who can't make the meet-up). There's no formal structure to it, no presenting or critiquing of scripts, etc, just a friendly, relaxed environment for chatting about comedy writing, amongst other things.

Please pass it on if you think anyone else would be interested in this. This month will be the first meet-up, and the hard part is getting the word out there!

I'll try to pop by and say hello Patrick.

Cheers for flagging this up. I'll do my best to be there.

Hi Nick, David, and anyone else who might be interested!

Hopefully see you tomorrow night - should be fun.

I'll be there with a bright yellow "Pub Standards" t-shirt on. The idea being that, unless there's a Tour de France leaders' reunion on at the same time, I should stand out a bit.

Literally just around the corner from my office. Pity I'm not a writer!

Why cant there be any in Herts. :(

There can. but it would be just you. and chapman.

why not come tomorrow and stay at aarons ?

he'd literally be delighted
