Navy Lark reunion on Radio 4 Extra. Not sure how old this is but Leslie Philips and June Whitfield or in it with Tenniel Evans and Heather Chesen and others. I always remember liking her voice and wondering what she looked like.

Trying to explain how they wrote Jon Pertwee's Weatherby character.

Should've realised - it was the 50th anniversary so originally made in 2009.

Nice; I only really know the early stuff, which has a quite different feel.

Melt-banana.

Great name. Interesting sound. My first thought was that it needed a bit of Yoko Ono on top of it. Then the vocals came in and it all went to seagulls. By the end, the birds were swooping and Lennon's missus was jumping from one to the other. That was the best bit - and all of it done without any hint of psychedelia.

Yes. This takes us further in to that American High School a capella. It's fine but I'm not sure if it benefits from a seventies choice. Whereas the ones who do Arcade Fire are charmingly casual, these are definitely preppy. Does Simon Heffer have a son who is living in the US? If he does, he is standing on the right.

Abraxas by Santana. One of the first proper albums I remember buying. By that I mean not a compilation.

Abraxas by Santana - a real classic in Latin Rock.(1970)

Abraxas by Santana when they were an innovative edgy latin rock band.

I feel terrible every time I hear a Santana song and think "I hate this".
I hate almost all Latin and Latin influenced music though. For some reason it all sounds terribly cheesy to me.
But I understand that I should like it ;)
