"Glibly", I like that word. That's the good thing about comedy, it's subjective. All I've done is given my opinion, as you have. I like how people hear a joke from the likes of Tim Vine and take it for granted that he's the first person to use it.

Tim Vine cracks a joke, I haven't heard it before, I laugh and that is the end of it. I am not going to investigate then as to whether it was he that wrote it.
It via, his delivery, has served its purpose.

Frank Carson was always cracking old chestnuts but they were funny to me because, as he quite rightly claimed, it was the way he told them.

And by the way, please feel free to use glibly anytime, but make sure you give me credit for being the first person you heard using it.

Ooh, sarcasm at the end, lovely. Bottom line in my opinion the jokes are of poor quality, but that is just my opinion.

Thousands of people love Tim Vine and his work, which they are fully entitled to do.

You're welcome. :)

And yes, I do - have all his vids. Flag Hippo never fails with me. V.Funny. Totally off the wall and original..........(unless you know different?) :D

Who chooses these top jokes anyway?

Probably those 100 people from Family Fortunes.

Yeah who did choose them. If only there were such a thing as a hundred pieces about it on the internet and a search engine type thing!! :)
