I played golf recently at very posh and exclusive golf club.
The man who carried your clubs out to your buggy (then held his hand out for a tip) was a called the concierge. As far as I could see, his only duties were humping bags and sticking his mit out.

I hate barista too - it's an utterly idiotic usage as it's essentially just the Italian word for barman.
The idea I suppose it that the coffee is often served Italian style although the f**k serving you is much more likely to be from Slovenia or Australia and the coffee from Africa or South America.
